Silver Street Reconstruction Update
We are excited to report that on Wednesday evening the Dover City Council approved the construction contract for this transformative project. The new "Complete Streets" design for Silver St., from the Spaulding Turnpike to Central Avenue (4300lf.) will feature traffic calming elements, bicycle lanes, LED street lights, bioretention treeways, a very large rain garden with outdoor classroom, outdoor plazas with seating at Arch Street and Tuttle Sq. and dedicated bus transit stops. Construction will commence in the summer of 2014 and will take approximately 330 days.
